Summer, 1958 at Grandma's
I'm the one in the dark jumper and light shirt, standing next to the wagon full of kids. As you can see, I was about 3 and had already adopted my role as an interested, impassive observer of life. In fact, it took me nearly 40 years to grow out of this phase. The other kids in the picture are all my cousins, and if you knew the whole family dynamic, this photo speaks volumes, but we won't go into that....
